Born in Athens, Greece, Irene draws lifelong inspiration from the mystique and history of her homeland. A Greek Genevoise artist and Londoner at heart, she finds creative fuel in her extensive travels and deep connection to India. After seven years in London, where she lived, studied, and worked, Irene relocated to Geneva, Switzerland, in 2009 to focus on her artistic career.
In Switzerland, she began her artistic journey through meaningful collaborations and mentorships. Her passion for ceramics led her to workshops and residencies in Art Institute of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy and the International School of Ceramics in Tuscany. Exposure to diverse techniques and perspectives in artist’s studios across Europe and beyond has profoundly shaped her practice, enriching her approach to the art form.
Since 2019, Irene has been a resident artist at the Bruckner Foundation in Carouge, Switzerland.
