About

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Athens, Greece, the mystique and history of her home inspires her work to this day. Irene’s extensive travels have heavily inspired her work, living and working in London, where she spent seven years working and completing her studies, and Geneva, Switzerland, where she has lived and worked since 2009.

Following the completion of her degree in Business at University of Athens, Irene worked in the fashion industry before moving to London where she achieved a Masters degree in Human Resources. In London, Irene worked in Real Estate, where her appreciation for design, photography and composition grew.

Relocating to Switzerland provided Irene the opportunity to focus on her artistic career, working initially with Veronique Stroun, and later Marianne Leber. Following her initiation into the world of art, Irene attended workshops and residences in the Art Institute of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy and the International School of Ceramics in Tuscany, Italy. Working in the ceramic studios of Alberto Bustos (Spain), Daphne Corregan (USA – France), Martha Pachon Rodriguez (Colombia – Italy), and Isabella Fazzo (Italy).

Since 2019, Irene has been a resident in the Bruckner Foundation in Carouge, Switzerland.
